Using fabreze to remove the smell from your carpet is a great way as well, but you should only use this method if your carpet is dirty or stained by mildew. Just simply spray the carpet with the fabreze and let it sit for a few minutes, and the mildew smell should be gone within that time frame.

Making your own air freshener is one of the best ways to remove the smell from anything. It can be our car, bed, bathroom, and so much more places. To make this air freshener you just need to add 10-15 drops of essential oil to a spray bottle with warm water and spray your carpet or rug.
