How Do Hotels Keep Glass Shower Doors Clean

Hotels are where people stay when they are on the go. So it is like a home away from home. When someone books a hotel room, they expect it to be in tip-top shape, especially the bathroom. How do hotels keep glass doors clean, you may ask.

The simple answer to that is the frequent cleaning of the shower doors is what makes a hotel glass door so clean. Below are a few cleaning methods you can try to remove hard water stains and keep your shower glass as clean as possible.

What is Hard Water –

In short hard water is made of minerals like calcium that you can find in most water, and it can leave a pale white stain on anything it dries on. You can find them on cars as water spots and around the water level in your toilet tank and bowl.

The Reason Why Hotels Glass Doors Are Clean

The way hotels keep their shower doors clean is by cleaning them daily with proper cleaning products like bleach. You might not be able to clean your shower doors that often, but cleaning them at least twice per week will definitely prevent hard water build-up.

Things You Can Use To Clean Shower Doors:

Method 1. White Distilled Vinegar:

White distilled vinegar is a great natural cleaning product that can break down a lot of bacteria and even break down hard water stains. You can use the raw vinegar or break it down in a 2-1 ratio.

Tools Needed:

  • Cleaning Sponge
  • White Vinegar
  • Cleaning Container
  • Dish Soap

Steps To Take:

1. The first thing you need to do is add warm water to the cleaning container and a few drops of dish soap. Dawn dish soap will work better.

2. Once you do that, mix the water around and scrub the shower glass with the sponge until you see the hard water stain starting to come off.

3. If the hard water stain still hasn’t come off. Wet the shower glass and let it sit for 30 minutes, then you repeat the cleaning process until the glass is cleaned.

Method 2. Using Lemon Juice To Clean Shower Glass:

Lemon juice is similar to how white vinegar works. The acidic level of lemon juice will slowly break down the hard water stains on the shower glass if you leave it for 1 hour before you try to clean it.

Once the 1 hour is up, you can wet a sponge with soap and scrub the shower glass until it is clean. It might take a few scrubs, but eventually, the hard water stain will start to come out. Do this each time you can, and your shower glass will be clean like how a hotel shower glass is.

Method 3. Using Baking Soda And Vinegar To Clean Shower Glass:

Baking soda mixed with white vinegar is the ultimate cleaning agent to scrub off any hard water stain that has built up on your shower doors. All you need to do is add 1 cup of baking soda to a mixing bowl and then add half a cup of white vinegar.
