How to Get Syrup Out Of Carpet
We love to eat homemade pancakes and waffles in the morning together as a family or even just you. Spilling the syrup on your carpet can be a disaster. If you do not get the syrup out of your carpet in time you can cause your house to get filled with sugar ants.
Syrup in your carpet can also cause a stain base on the color of it and the sugar that it is made of. This article will show you how to get syrup out of your carpet in two ways. (Note) – Never apply pressure to the area where your carpet has syrup on. If the syrup has dried up. Doing so can damage the fibers in the carpet and make that area of the carpet look flat even if you clean it.

Method 1: Getting Out Dried Up Syrup From Your Carpet

Tools Needed:
- Warm water
- Cleaning container
- Scrub brushÂ
- Dish soapÂ
- Paper towelÂ
- Cleaning clothÂ
Steps To Take:
1. The first thing you need to do is remove everything around the area where the syrup was spilled on your carpet. This will make cleaning the carpet much easier.
2. Next you will need to catch some warm water in a cleaning container you have and add 3 tablespoons of dawn dish soap or any other dish soap. The warm water will soften up the syrup that is hard and free up the fabric on the carpet.
3. Now you need to take out a small portion of the water that is enough to wet the area that has the dried up syrup on it. Once you did that let it sit for 3-5 minutes to soak and loosen up the dried up syrup.
4. Once the 3-5 minutes are up, take the scrub brush and brush the area in one direction slowly so you do not spread the syrup more.
5. Now take a sheet of paper towel and wipe out the excess syrup and water out of the carpet. Once you have gotten out of the majority of syrup and water you can dip a cleaning cloth in the warm water with the dish soap and wipe the carpet clean.
6. You now can let the carpet air dry, use a standing fan or hair dryer to dry the carpet if you are in a rush to dry it.
Method 2: Cleaning Up Freshly Slipped Syrup Out Of CarpetÂ
This method is the best way to deal with syrup on your carpet. Cleaning up the syrup as it gets on the carpet will eliminate the possibility of the syrup damaging your carpet or causing a sugar ant infection.

- Butter knifeÂ
- SpoonÂ
- Cleaning clothÂ
- Paper towelÂ
- Dish soapÂ
- Cleaning containerÂ
- Warm water
Steps To Take:
1. As mentioned in the first cleaning method, you need to clear everything around the area where the syrup was spilled. That includes toys, chairs, a table, etc.
2. Take a large enough spoon with a butter knife and scoop up as much of the syrup off the carpet. Using the butter knife, press down on it at an angle then pull it over the area where the syrup was spilled to get out even more out of the carpet.
3. Once you think you have gotten the Majority of the syrup out of the carpet. You Now can fill a cleaning container with some warm water and add a few tablespoons of dish soap.
4. Dip the cleaning cloth in the water and wipe the carpet in one direction until you have gotten out all of the syrup.
5 Now you can leave the carpet to air dry or use a standing fan or blow dryer to finish drying your carpet.
