(Very Important) – Do not wash spray paint off your hands over your bathroom sink or in the kitchen sink. The spray paint will act like hair dye and stain the countertops and the sink itself. I just did this experiment and my countertop and sink were stained. Wash your hands off using a hose or water in a container.

1. Using Rubbing Alcohol To Get Spray Paint Off Hands

Rubbing alcohol is a great way to wash the spray paint off your hands and even your skin. The rubbing alcohol will break down the paint slowly as you scrub the paint off of your hands. All you need to do is pour some rubbing alcohol on the spray paint on your hands and rub both fingers together.

Once the spray paint has softened up you can wash your hands off in a container of water or let someone turn on a hose so you can wash your hands off. If the spray paint is thick you can use a toothbrush to brush the spray paint off.

2. Get Spray Paint Off Hands With Hydrogen Peroxide

Everyone should have a bottle of hydrogen peroxide in their house for emergencies. Hydrogen peroxide can be used as a multipurpose household cleaning product that removes stains and even sprays paint off any surface whether it is your skin, plastic, or your hands.

To get spray paint off your hands with hydrogen peroxide all you need to do is turn on a pipe or hose outside. Then pour some hydrogen peroxide over your entire hand and use a cleaning sponge and wash the spray paint off the reason why you need to add hydrogen peroxide over your entire hand is to prevent the spray paint from spreading and sticking to other areas of your hand.

3. Using Nail Polish Remover On Spray Paint

If you are married or live with a girlfriend they will have a bottle of nail polish remover in the bathroom or somewhere in the house, just ask them. The nail polish remover/acetone works similar to how paint thinner would work but isn’t that harsh.

When you use the nail polish remover all you need to do is wet a microfiber cloth and wipe the spray paint off your hands. If a large area of your hand is covered, then you need to pour the nail polish directly on your hands to get it off properly.

When you are done make sure to wash your hands off properly with soap to get the nail polish off so you can use your hands again.

4. Using Baby Oil or Olive Oil

Baby oil is the next option you can use to get spray paint off your hands. Somehow the oil from the baby powder loosens the paint enough that you can wash it off. To do this pour some of the baby oil or olive oil on the paint mark and scrub it off with a toothbrush or a microfiber cleaning cloth and clean It off.

5. Washing Your Hands With Dawn Dish Soap

Dish soap is a great way to clean the paint mark off your hands. The only drawback is that you can only use it on certain types of spray paint. This paint has to be water washable so just pour some dawn dish soap on your hands and wash the paint off.

6. Using Paint Thinner

Using paint thinner on your hands should be your last option because paint thinner has a lot of chemicals in it that you do not want to be on you for too long. Only use this method if a lot of spray paint has gotten on your hands and you need to wash a lot of it off.

Conclusion When It Comes To Getting Spray Paint Off Hands:

Spray paint shouldn’t be on you in the first place so I recommend removing it as soon as possible and this will even make it even easier to remove because it still will be wet. When you are using spray paint wear longer and thicker gloves plus an eye and face mask so that you are fully protected from the fews of the paint and from it entering your body.

Depending on how dry the spray painty is each method will work great especially rubbing alcohol because most of us have a bottle in our bathroom cabinet.
